Provincial Teams Weekend Action

Each Provincial Team was in action this past weekend as they continue to prepare for the final events of their seasons.

The U14 Girls played in Calgary at the Visions Rockin' The Rim. In a well played weekend they managed to win first place in their division. The U14 Boys were in Edmonton at the fourth Swoosh event being held at the Saville Community Sports Centre. The boys were able to win their division as well.

The U15 Girls and Boys were both in Regina participating in a series of Provincial Team exhibition games. Both teams had strong showings against other provinces' provincial sqauds as they all prepare for the U15 National Championships in Newfoundland.

The U16 Girls and Boys were also hitting the courts in Edmonton at the Saville Community Sports Centre this past weekend. Both teams ended the weekend with a third place finish in their divisions.

The U17 Girls were in Chicago for the Nike National Invitational. Playing against elite U.S teams, the girls managed to post a 2-3 record on the weekend. The U17 Boys also played in Edmonton at the Saville Community Sports Centre going undefeated through the weekend and winning their division. 

Each Provincial Team will continue to train this month and play in elite events. This week the U16 girls will head to Las Vegas for their final games of the season. The U15 Girls and Boys will both be in Washington. The Girls will be playing in the Liberty Lake Classic while the U15 Boys will be at the Gonzaga Team Camp as they prepare for Nationals. The U17 boys will also be at Gonzaga as they get ready for the Canada Summer Games.
