The Provincial season is well under way, here is a summary of the last week as well as upcoming competition that Team AB will be competing at.
U16 Girls
The U16 girls just returned from their final season tournament in Las Vegas! The girls participated at the BigFoot Las Vegas Live Summer Tournament. The team finished with a tough loss in the quarter-finals but came home after hard fought battles more prepared and ready for next year already!
U15 Girls
The U15 girls returned from the Libery Lake tournament in Washington this past weekend where they finished 3rd overall. Great competition and experience playing without a shotclock and a constant barrage of zone defense. Next up for the girls is the Canada Basketball U15 National Championships in St. John's NFLD.
U17/U15 Boys
Both the U17 and U15 boys returned from the Gonzaga teams tournament in Washington this past weekend. Up against some fierce competition from first whistle the the U17 boys finished with a 4-5 record and the U15 boys finished 10-1 losing in the final game on Sunday by one possession. There was even a Kelly Olynyk sighting over the weekend.
Next up both our U17 and U16 boys teams travel to Las Vegas for tournament play and both our U14 boys and girls teams are on the road to Liberty Lake Washington. Updates will be provided often so be sure to check back for more information on Team AB performances!
