Play alongside the top players from your province as you train and compete to represent Alberta; this is the essence of the Provincial Team experience! The ultimate goal is to represent your province against the top players from across Canada.
The 2014 Provincial Teams will train, practice, and compete in tournaments culminating with the U15 and U17 Canada Basketball National Championships and U16 Western Canadian Basketball Championships during the week of July 24 - 31, 2014 in Edmonton, AB at the Saville Community Sports Centre. Application for full NCAA sanctioning is currently being undertaken. This will be an unprecedented event as it will be the first time that the tournaments for both age categories, for both boys and girls, are hosted during the same week in the same location.
Program Age Groups - (as of December 31, 2013)
U17 - Provincial Team (Birth Year: 1997, 1998)
U16 - Provincial Team (Birth Year: 1998, 1999)
U15 - Provincial Team (Birth Year: 1999, 2000)

Please note: Tryout fee is $20 for BA members, add $11 for non-BA members.
- We strongly encourage you to register and pay your tryout fee in advance of tryouts, this will allow for a more efficient tryout process.
- Payment in full for 2014 Team Alberta fees will be collected from parents after the Parent Orientation at the Saville Centre on April 5, 2014.
ONLINE REGISTRATION - Now Available!!
Please Note: Basketball Alberta will be conducitng a player/parent orientation session directly folowing the final team selections on April 5th and 6th for each team (U15/U16/U17 Boys and Girls). This session will run from
3:30pm - 5:00pm and will provide players and parents with an
introduction and time to complete
registration for the 2014 Provincial Team.
